Editorial independence
Our editorial decisions — which firms to include, how they are profiled, and where they rank — are made solely on the basis of our published methodology. No commercial relationship of any kind influences our content. We accept no payment, advertising, sponsorship, gifts, hospitality, referral fees, or commissions from the firms we cover.
Accuracy and sourcing
We publish only information that can be traced to a verifiable public source: a firm’s own website, official Law Society records, recognised legal directories, or other reputable published material. Profiles describe firms in our own words; we do not reproduce firms’ marketing copy. Where information cannot be confirmed, we say so rather than speculate.
Fairness and neutrality
Profiles are written in a neutral, factual tone. We aim to describe each firm’s genuine strengths and distinguishing features without exaggeration or denigration. Rankings reflect honest editorial judgement consistently applied; they are opinion, and other reasonable assessments may differ.
Right of reply and corrections
Any firm featured in our guides may contact us to request a correction. Where a request is supported by verifiable evidence — for example, an updated accreditation, a change of address, or a factual error in our research — we will correct the profile promptly. Each guide carries a last-reviewed date so readers can judge currency. Requests should be sent via our contact page.
Separation from any commercial activity
If we ever introduce commercial features to this website, they will be clearly labelled and kept entirely separate from editorial rankings. Editorial content will never be available for purchase, and ranking positions will never be influenced by any revenue consideration.
