Complaints & Corrections

Spotted an error, or featured in a guide and want it updated? Here’s exactly how corrections and complaints work — and what we’ll never trade.

Last updated: July 2026

Why this page exists

We publish independent rankings and profiles of real firms, based on publicly available information. That information can contain errors, and it goes out of date. This page explains how to tell us — whether you’re a reader who has spotted a mistake, a firm featured in our guides, or someone with a concern about our editorial conduct.

Requesting a correction

If anything we’ve published is inaccurate — a wrong accreditation, an outdated office address, a service a firm no longer offers — email corrections@bestfamilylawsolicitors.co.uk with:

We aim to acknowledge correction requests within five working days. Once we’ve verified a change against public sources, we’ll update the page promptly. Where a correction is material — one that could reasonably have affected a reader’s decision — we’ll say so on the page rather than quietly amending it.

If your firm is featured

We welcome updates from featured firms: new accreditations, office moves, changes to Legal Aid availability or services offered. Send them to the corrections address above and we’ll verify and reflect them.

Two things we want to be straight about, consistent with our Editorial Policy:

Complaints about our editorial conduct

If your concern is broader than a factual error — you believe a guide is unfair, misleading, or falls short of the standards in our Editorial Policy — email hello@bestfamilylawsolicitors.co.uk with “Editorial complaint” in the subject line. Complaints are reviewed by the site’s editor. We’ll acknowledge within five working days and give you a substantive reply, including what we’ll change if we agree with you, and our reasons if we don’t.

What we won’t do

We won’t alter rankings, add firms, or remove accurate information in exchange for payment, advertising, or the threat of withdrawn cooperation. Independence is the point of this site; a complaints process that could be bought would defeat it.
